Molweni, I'm Okuhle.

I go to the root.

  • Risk & AML analyst
  • Web developer
  • Horticulturist
  • Mentor for young women

I find where problems start, in soil, in systems, in money and in code, and I fix them before they grow. So we can all live a little better.

Scroll down. We're digging.

What I do topsoil

One root, four branches.

They look like different jobs. To me they're the same job: look underneath, find the cause, fix it properly.

Financial crime & risk

I'm a Risk and Anti-Money Laundering analyst at a major South African bank. I follow money back to where the trouble started, and help stop it before it spreads.

Websites & dashboards

I build websites that feel like the people behind them, and simple dashboards that help small businesses and NGOs see their own numbers clearly.

Garden & plant consulting

I'm a trained horticulturist. I'll help you choose the right plants, bring tired soil back to life, and grow a garden that actually feeds you.

Mentorship for young women

Free, one-on-one and online. Thirty minutes with someone who has been where you are. Book a session.

Quick quiz 3 questions

Not sure where you fit?

Answer three questions and I'll point you to the right place, and tell you which South African plant you'd be.

What people say

Okuhle is someone I always look up to. She approaches every situation with curiosity and an open mind. She never makes assumptions about data and never lets bias creep in. The data drives the decision. And she never decides for a client; she lets the client decide.

Mentorship where new roots grow

For young women finding their feet.

I know what it feels like to walk into a room and believe you don't belong there. If you're a young woman working out your studies, your career, or just yourself, let's talk.

  • Free for now
  • 30 min per session
  • 1:1 online
  • 3 sessions a month

We can talk about: choosing a path, CVs and applications, moving to a new city, studying while working, and believing you belong in the room.

I coach in the RNDA Youth Mentorship programme, and I helped create women's gatherings built around identity.

My story the taproot

Keiskammahoek.

I grew up in Keiskammahoek, a village near King William's Town in the Eastern Cape. I was raised by women: my mother, my grandmother, and later my aunt. Everything I know about showing up for people, I learned from them.

Okuhle seen from behind, resting on a railing and looking out at a large modern building and trees
Then I moved to the city. It still looks big sometimes. I'm bigger now.

It was hard. At home we spoke isiXhosa, and my English didn't feel good enough. I looked different. I acted different. For a long time it felt like everything about me was wrong for the room.

Years later, something shifted. I realised there was nothing wrong with me. Being different is one of the greatest strengths you can have.

In a room full of people, don't try to be like them. Know who you are, and stand on that.

That's my root. Everything else on this page grows from it.
